Institute of Excellence in writing curriculum

SpeechAbility uses the Institute of Excellence in Writing's unique approach as a basis for writing curriculum. The Student Writing Intensive is a 30 week course that will develop confidence in the writing process, while gradually guiding students toward greater independence and creativity. They will learn nine structural models to help them organize any type of composition. Additionally, stylistic techniques (strong verbs, quality adjectives, sentence openers, and more) are taught incrementally to gently move students from the basics into more sophisticated writing. This core writing program is supported by materials for reading, grammar, spelling, literature, poetry, public speaking , and more.
